Paper Cuts (the good kind)
Below are samples of the cut paper art I’ve created. Each piece starts with a photo I have taken (or one I have permission to use), I will then create the silhouette I want to cut in Illustrator. Once the silhouette has been created I’ll transfer the image to the paper I’ll be cutting out and then the fun begins! It’s like building a puzzle in reverse. Each piece is cut by hand using an Exacto knife then mounted a quarter inch from the background so the image casts its own shadows and gives the image more depth.
